Experienced Management Team
Cornelius Merlini, Chairman of the Board
Mr. Merlini has 30 years of operational experience and healthcare leadership in biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, consumer health and diagnostics products. Most recently, Mr. Merlini was General Manager for Healthtronics Lab Solutions, the diagnostics division of Endo Pharmaceuticals. Previously, Mr. Merlini ran commercial operations for Core Blood Registry (CBR).
Mr. Merlini joined CBR from J&J where he served as Worldwide Vice President of the Cardiovascular Franchise across Bio Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Merlini is a Managing Partner of Intrinsic Capital Partners, an investment firm focused on life science and technology businesses with the legal cannabinoid market.
J. Michael Drozd, CEO
Mr. Drozd has over 25 years of experience leading bio-analytic testing, manufacturing and consumer product companies. Most recently, Michael served as the CEO of AgEagle (NYSE: UAVS) which was the highest performing stock on the NYSE in 2020. Prior to AgEagle, Michael led Eurofins's (ERF: PA) AgBio division, which included hemp/cannabis testing, agrigenomics, and seed/plan testing. Michael also served as the CEO of Aseptia/Wright Foods which was the #1 fastest growing food company in the US on Inc 5000. Michael received a B.S.E. and a Ph.D. from Duke University and Master's degree from Cambridge University and Stanford University. In 2004, Michael was awarded the Distinguished Young Alumni from Duke University.
Bob Miller, Ph.D, COO of Science and Operations
Serving as SVP of Quality at Gilead Sciences Inc. Bob Miller, Ph.D. has a wealth of experience in the design and implementation of quality systems and guiding companies actively engaged in quality and compliance enhancements in response to FDA and other global regulatory agencies. He holds a B.S. in Pharmacy and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Rutgers University College of Pharmacy.
Bob has gained experience in diverse product portfolios working with major global Pharma and Generic companies such as Bayer Pharmaceutical Corporation, Pfizer/Warner-Lambert, and J&J.
Susan Campbell, SVP Business Development
Serving as Head of Women's Health at Merck & Co., Inc. Susan brings 25+ years of Commercial and business operations experience with a passionate commitment to customer centricity and regulatory compliance. Patient safety is paramount and ensuring all commercial activities lead to the creation of customer trust and value and in full alignment with legal and regulatory requirements. Susan's deep commercial and operations leadership experience spans a portfolio of private and public Life Sciences Companies to include Monsanto, Bristol Myers Squibb, Mallinkrodt Medical and Merck & Co., Inc.

Robert Sheroff, Strategic Advisor 
Robert received his B.S. in Pharmacy degree from Rutgers University College of Pharmacy and an MBA in Pharmaceutical Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. With over thirty years of experience at J&J alone, Robert has extensive experience in supply chain management. Robert has successfully led global organizations in both small and large molecule manufacturing and quality responsibility. He also has a strong reputation with the FDA and other regulatory agencies.
Currently, Robert is the President of RMMTC, LLC, a pharmaceutical supply chain consulting firm supporting small and mid-sized companies. He serves as a non-executive director on the Board of DPS Engineering Holdings Limited is a member of the Patheon Executive Council, exploring ways to streamline the CMO/CDMO role within the pharmaceutical industry.
Jeff Nemeth, Strategic Advisor
After graduating from the Art Institute of Huston with a Fine Arts Degree in Photography in 1990, Jeff began his career as a photographer. He built a successful business and at one point operating a total of seventeen studios. Eventually selling his business to Lifetouch National School Studios.
Jeff then took his entrepreneurial spirit and first-hand experience with pain management after a car accident left him with chronic pain and began the process of creating Act Laboratories, Inc. Jeff’s comprehensive knowledge of the cannabis industry and participation in advisory meetings, panel discussions, site visits, and frequent communications with regulators, have made him a valued leader and trusted resource for Department staff as they go about the challenging task of setting forth strong and sensible program guidelines.
Howard Goodwin, M.D., BOD 
For the last 18 years, Dr. Goodwin has demonstrated a proven acumen investing in healthcare businesses at top investment firms, including Maverick Capital, Citadel Investments and, most recently, as a portfolio manager at Millennium Partners. Dr. Goodwin began his investment career at Graham Partners, a middle market private equity firm.
Prior to beginning his investment career, Dr. Goodwin received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Goodwin is a Managing Partner of IHP.
